World Class Kings Magazine: Please tell us about yourself.
My name is Zane, i’m a 32 year old model and entrepreneur from Singapore. I am somewhat of a free spirit and i enjoy travelling, going for long walks and i strive for self-improvement day by day. Its always a battle with yourself and with enough effort and discipline i strongly believe everyone can achieve the best version of themselves.
World Class Kings Magazine: What inspired you to compete for your title?
I was losing weight in 2022 and got pushed by my trainer to join pageantry in an attempt to give myself a further goal to work towards. I finished 2nd runner up in Manhunt Singapore and subsequently represented Singapore in Mister International 2024.
World Class Kings Magazine: To those unfamiliar with your pageant system please tell us what is it about?
I competed in Mister International 2024, it is a Top 5 male pageant with guys from all over the world competing for the crown.
World Class Kings Magazine: What are the categories you are being judged during the competition?
We had the National Costume, Swimwear and Evening wear segments for our pageant.
World Class Kings Magazine: Which part of the competition did you enjoy the most and why?
The best part was getting to meet people from all walks of life from all over the world, watching masters of their craft take the stage and interacting with my fellow kings. That’s when i knew i truly belonged.
World Class Kings Magazine: Which part of the competition was most challenging for you and why?
It was getting in shape in preparation for the pageant. I lost close to 10kg and got to 6% body fat in the leadup to the finals and it taught me alot about dieting and self discipline.
World Class Kings Magazine: What inspired you to do your first pageant?
I wanted to push myself to see if i could become the best version of myself through male pageantry.
World Class Kings Magazine: What are some of you achievements?
I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications from Curtin University of Technology.
I run a language centre in Singapore teaching Thai and Vietnamese language.
I have walked the runway and filmed multiple TVCs in Singapore.
World Class Kings Magazine: Tell us about your platform or what charity you volunteer for?
I reach out to underprivileged children and help them level the playing field by providing them support and guidance wherever possible. Children are our future and everyone deserves an opportunity to change their lives.
World Class Kings Magazine: What are some of the appearances that you've done?
I have made multiple public appearances as Mister International Singapore including movie premieres, runway shows and promotional activities for brands.
World Class Kings Magazine: Tell us about your evening wear?
I chose to go with a black tuxedo with a matching cummerbund as it exudes confidence, style and poise.
World Class Kings Magazine: Tell us about your national costume?
I wore a Red Singaporean Songket for my national costume.
The Singapura Songket is a modern twist on the otherwise formal attire of Baju Melayu. It consists of a “Samping” (sarong around the waist) over a set of Baju Melayu with the “Tanjak” headdress and a “Keris” dagger.
The Singapura Songket is a prime example of Singapore’s multi-racial society where the Chinese, Malay, Indians and Eurasians are able to co-exist harmoniously together. It also shows that the Malay culture is still deep seated within Singapore’s roots.
Designed by Singaporean designer Mohammad Hambali Kammari
World Class Kings Magazine: What makes you stand out from all those other kings?
I am truly passionate about the community and never say no to autographs and picture opportunities with the fans. If a simple gesture like this can make their day the sense of fulfillment it provides me is unrivalled by anything.
World Class Kings Magazine: What was your reaction and how did it made you feel when they called your name as the winner?
I was ecstatic and could not believe that the organization saw faith in me to place me on a platform like this to represent the country. It was an absolute honour to be able to do so and i gave it my absolute best.
World Class Kings Magazine: What does the stole (sash) symbolizes or means to you?
Being Mister International made me realise how blessed i am to be given an opportunity like this to stand on stage and show people from all around the world what my country Singapore has to offer. I feel an immense sense of pride whenever i hear great things about my country.
World Class Kings Magazine: What does it mean to you to be a King?
Being a king means using the platform given to us to inspire the next generation and provide whatever support we can to our respective organizations.
World Class Kings Magazine: Any Modeling, Film, acting or music experience you would like to share?
I have been active in modelling and filming of TVCs but would definitely like to try my hand in acting if given the opportunity.
World Class Kings Magazine: What are your plans for 2025 as a King?
I will continue working on myself to bring you and even better and more improved version of myself in 2025.
