My husband, Mr. Paresh Kapoor is very loving and understanding husband. He is a successful industrialist. He guided me when required in my journey to be a self made social entrepreneur. World Class Beauty Queens: Please tell us about your education. MA, B Ed, Cosmetologist , I did my M.A with English Literature from L.D Arts College Ahmedabad Gujarat. I did my B Ed from H.M Patel Institute after that I did my Cosmetologist course. World Class Beauty Queens: What does Women Empowerment mean to you? In a single sentence, Women Empowerment for me is: ‘Economically Independent, Confident, Loving, Caring and Sharing’. It is very important for a woman to be economically independent. Earning does not necessarily make her economically independent. She should be capable and able to take financial decisions on her own. This will change the outlook of her family towards her and help her family and children to achieve greater heights. This of course cannot be achieved unless she is confident in what she does and says. Women by nature are loving and caring. She must be sharing her love and care not only for her family but all who come in contact with her. I believe in Givers Gain philosophy. More she gives and shares love and care, the more she will receive. Therefore, the comprehensive personality of an empowered woman would be that of an independent thinking, confident, caring and sharing woman.
World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your pageant history.
Beauty Pageants are not just Beauty Pageants. They are basically an exercise, a meaningful exercise to discover the inner beauty of humans with a goal of making this earth a beautiful place to stay. I always had a dream of wearing a crown on my head and being in the limelight
Since my younger days, I wanted to take part in such a pageant. Now, since I have completed my family responsibilities, achieved a bit as a social entrepreneur, I feel that this is the right time for me to fulfill my unfinished dream. Also, the platform this pageant provides will also help me in my social endeavour and by that I hope to create a difference in the lives of more women of rural India.
World Class Beauty Queens: What makes you stand out from all those other beautiful girls? All the pageant participants were gorgeous and talented. I personally believe everyone had put their best foot forward but Positivity, Confidence and Persistence makes me stand out from all those other beautiful girls. World Class Beauty Queens: What inspired you to do your first pageant? My Husband always looks into my eyes and tells me that I'm the most beautiful woman in the world. Which inspired me to do the first pageant. World Class Beauty Queens: Why did you choose to compete for your current title? I feel that I have a wholesome personality and beauty; that is, physical and inner. I am confident, positive hard working and persistence for any task I undertake. My friendly and smiling nature allows me to make friends easily. All these are the requirements of a winner of such wonderful pageant and I possess them all. World Class Beauty Queens: What are you being judged on during the competition? Everything they considered. Each and everything right from your looks, Your intelligence, from top to toe that means overall personality. Physical Beauty was only one part of the judgement. Our talents, approach towards the fellow participants, behaviour during the practice sessions and the confidence during the Ramp Walk were also considered. World Class Beauty Queens: What does it mean to you to be a Beauty Queen? I think that I am as such a Queen. My husband calls me Rani(Queen). The crown if I get it would actually make me Queen. As I have said before, I strongly believe in ‘Givers Gain’. Therefore, after the crown, I shall continue my social entrepreneurship with much more vigor and zest. I am sure the crown will make more and more women look up to me as a role model. More women would get connected to me. My team will become bigger and I would be able to help more women to be economically independent and contribute my bit in their empowerment. Second thing I would like to say is be happy, be safe, keep your smile on your face always, the world do not like person who cries always. You and you only will have to put in effort to achieve your goals. So do it confidently, work hard and work intelligently with a smile.
