World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Can you share a bit about who you are? Like, what are your passions outside of the pageant world?

I am a young woman who is passionate about helping those in need and being involved in the community to help make a positive change. Outside of being involved in the community, I am a full time university student who loves both science and the arts. Specifically Music, both singing and playing some of my favourite tunes fills me with energy and emotion, but I also love to sketch. I love recreating moments in life as still black and white versions of reality though it can take patience, the outcome is very rewarding, but if you asked me to use colours I would not be doing reality any favours with my ‘master piece of colours’.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: I’m curious about your education journey. What's it been like for you, any particular highlights or challenges?

My school life was filled with both its highs and lows, but I do think of those memories fondly. I found school to be such fun, learning new things each day and meeting and making new friends along the way was the best part. I have a couple of highlights during that period of my life, but here are two of my favourite moments, one being in primary school and winning the Champion Girl title of my year for athletics, and the other being one of the winners for our school Titration Competition called “The Golden Pipette”. Now as a new University student I have been faced with a few challenges like learning this new way of life on a different planet and venturing through this change of scenery, but it’s important to push through those times as they are what prepares you for the future.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Women's empowerment is such a key topic. What does it mean to you personally?

I believe that it is important that all women no matter where they are in the world should deserve to have a voice, deserve to make choices for themselves and deserve to be viewed as a man's equal. Empowering women to pursue their dreams and to not let society's expectations let them down is so important to me.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: How did you get into pageants? What sparked your interest initially?

I got into pageantry because I saw it as a way to further involve myself in the community, and to make a positive impact in society and hence the world. Pageantry isn’t just about catwalks and modelling, it’s about being a voice to the people, being a role model to others by being both creative and empowering.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What motivated you to participate in your first pageant? Was there a defining moment?

My mother was The Pillar of motivation for me to participate in this pageant. She has always had big dreams for and has always been my number one person I would go to for advice, and she signed me up for this pageant, even though I wasn’t confident at first and because of her constantly pushing me to my best, I managed to both grow as a person on this journey and having the honour of being a Queen.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Why did you choose to compete for your current title? What made it stand out for you?

It was a spontaneous decision which my mother wholeheartedly backed me up on, even when I didn’t believe in myself. In all honesty I wanted to do my part in improving society and I wanted to show people that being a queen isn’t just an achievement or reward, being a Queen means to being a kind hearted individual advocate for change and to be a public role model.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: I'd love to know more about your pageant system. Could you explain what it’s all about?

Premier Elite Pageants is all about empowerment and creating strong confident young women and girls who can and will do their part in making a positive change in the world. Through the pageant we form new bonds and connections with each other, forming a strong sisterhood between us girls, so that together we can celebrate the women we are and look forward to the women we will become.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What do you think sets your pageant director apart from others?

Our Pageant Director is very open and so down to earth, she is so kind and understanding and whenever I am around her I always feel taken care of. She is a beautiful person who is willing to put our needs first and is always listening to troubles.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What’s your competition experience been like? Any memorable moments or learnings?

My experience during this competition was amazing, everyone was there for one another, and we helped each other out throughout the whole experience.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Would you recommend your pageant system to others? If so, why?

Yes, I would! Premier Elite Pageants is the best pageant for you to start with because the atmosphere is so very supportive, our director is the best at that. It also gives you a chance to grow as a person and develop interpersonal and social skills. Some of the categories within the pageant can help you in the future for when you are in a new place or when you’re needing to network at an event.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Tell me about your advocacy or volunteer work. What causes are you passionate about?

I'm passionate about helping the homeless and giving them a chance to push through this hard time, because in the end everyone deserves food, clothes and shelter. Lately I have been involved in a small charity that supplies food for the homeless every Monday afternoon in the city, and together we prepare meal bags with full meals as well as a few snacks and some water.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: With your title, what kinds of appearances or activities have you been involved in?

We have volunteered at a local festival, advocating for children and mental health issues throughout the day, and later that evening myself and another queen volunteered ourselves to MC a local talent contest.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Can you share some of your achievements, both in and outside of pageantry?

In this pageant I won the Miss Evening Wear, Miss SportsWear, Miss Op shop Fashion, Ambassador, and The Queen Title. Outside of pageantry, I have won a couple awards in athletics at a young age, I have also been a part of my school Marching Band, and I have also won a couple awards for school such as a Titration Competition for chemistry.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: In such a competitive field, what do you think makes you stand out?

I believe that my authenticity and my creative approach to some of the tasks in pageantry are what makes me stand out as a young woman.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: I can only imagine how it feels to win. What was going through your mind when your name was announced as the winner?

I remember freezing entirely, it didn’t register in my head that I had won, I felt my heart stop and I felt like it wasn’t real, like I was dreaming. The whole time, the experience didn’t feel real, I felt like I dreamt up the whole thing, I was so happy and I remember looking at my mum and she was jumping up and down for me, cheering me on!

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What does being a Beauty Queen mean to you?

Being a Queen means that in order to be a role model to others I must be true to myself and be true to who I am and what I represent as a person. To me, being a Queen means being a voice to all groups in society and to make a meaningful and positive change to this world, one step at a time.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: You’re an inspiration to many. How does that feel, and what message do you want to share with others?

I feel so honoured to be called an inspiration to many, but the message I want to share is that you and yourself will always be your first inspiration, because only you can control what action, choice or opinion you make in life, so it is important to be a friend to yourself, you and your mind are on the same side.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What’s your strategy for captivating the judges on stage?

Always making eye contact with them, smiling and being confident, don’t show them that you are afraid and if you are, your best bet is to smile and strike a dazzling pose.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Choosing the right pageant dress can be crucial. What are your tips for making the best choice?

Choosing a dress that really compliments you because it is you who is being introduced on stage and not the dress.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Interview rounds can be tricky. What are your strategies for a winning interview?

Always being honest about your answers, being relaxed helps to, I always make eye contact with the interviewers and remind myself that this isn’t a big shot interview all I have to do is answer the questions with a true heart.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Looking back, is there a moment in a competition you wish you could redo?

I wish I could redo the talent category, because at the time I was very flustered and overwhelmed as I tried to calm and collectively walk on stage but since my talent was singing, I couldn’t sing to the best of my abilities.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Do you have any experience in modeling or acting?

I have a little experience in modelling and have gotten a couple offers to model for an upcoming show.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What are your plans or goals for the upcoming year as a Queen?

I want to do as much work for the community as possible and raise as much as I can for my charity, and I hope to make a positive statement in society.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Finally, what kind of legacy do you hope to leave behind?

I hope I leave a legacy filled with positivity and confidence, showing how important it is to be yourself as a queen because that is how you can make a difference. World Class Beauty Queens Magazine would like to say thank you for this wonderful interview.
