World Class Beauty Queens: Please tell us about yourself.
I am a proud mother of 2 children from the wonderful city of Chennai, a fitness enthusiast and formally trained in Vinyasa Krama and Prenatal Yoga. I love to keep myself in shape as I strongly believe that a healthy body is the core for a healthy mind. I whole heartedly follow the concept of positivity and try to manifest this thought in every moment of my day. In any situation, I do not hesitate to put forth my opinion.
World Class Beauty Queens: Please tell us about your education.
I started my schooling from The Cliff, a boarding school in Ooty and then moved to St. Joseph's School in Coimbatore and did my high school from Kristu Jyoti School in Erode. I completed my under grad through Distance Education Programme of Annamalai University.
World Class Beauty Queens: What does women Empowerment means to you?
Women Empowerment for me is the ability of women to make the decisions by themselves and choosing to live the life they wish without getting judged.
World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your pageant history.
This was the 1st Pageant that I ever participated. The journey through the preparations to the practice sessions and the Grand Finale was so very overwhelming. I learnt a lot and came out as a different person.
World Class Beauty Queens: What inspired you to do your first pageant?
I always had a dream of wearing a Crown on my Head and being in limelight. With this dream and my love to keep myself in shape, I grabbed the opportunity when it came my way to participate in the Mrs India International Queen Pageant. Also, it is a great platform to have my voice be heard by many more.
World Class Beauty Queens: Why did you choose to compete for your current title?
When I decided that I wanted to participate in a Mrs India pageant, I started searching for more information on google and then came across Mrs India International Queen. While going through the details and their approach, I decided that this is the pageant I should be participating in.
World Class Beauty Queens: To those unfamiliar with your pageant system please tell us what is it about?
Mrs India International Queen is a pageant with a holistic approach to judge and bring out the best in you. It was not just about beauty that they were looking for, but presenting your talents, confidence, approach towards others and understanding how important it is to give back something meaningful to the society.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are you being judged on during the competition Physical Beauty was only one part of the judgement. Our talents, approach towards the fellow participants, behaviour during the practice sessions and the confidence during the Ramp Walk were also considered. The ability to answer the questions with confidence and the answer in itself showing your thoughts, was the major decision making criteria for the finalists.
World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your experience during the competition.
During the 3 days at the Pageant, I met so many people from various facets of life. Interacting with them gave me a lot of confidence, made me stronger and I came out as a totally different person. Winning the crown there was my moment of Dream come True.
World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your platform or what cause do you volunteer for.
I am a part of Ladies Circle India whose motto is Service through Friendship and they have a long term project of Freedom Through Education, wherein we have been building a classroom a day for several years now in different parts of the country.
World Class Beauty Queens: What appearances have you done with your title?
I had an opportunity to speak at an event in a village in Bihar to portray that Women can and should Dream Big and not hesitate to voice their opinion. I got an opportunity to be the Brand Ambassador for a Top Dermatologist in Chennai. I also spoke at Business Boosters Club in Bangalore about my journey to the title.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are some of your achievements?
When people around me say that I am an inspiration and a role model for them, I feel that I have done something meaningful to life. Teaching Yoga to Pregnant woman gives me immense satisfaction personally.
World Class Beauty Queens: What makes you stand out from all those other beautiful girls?
The special quality which demarcates a winner from a simple contestant is Focus and consistency. Many people have the ambition and the vision which is needed to become a winner, but those who are willing to put in the hours and be dedicated to their cause, win.
World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about the moment your name was called out as the winner.
Everyday I would dream about my name being announced as the winner, but when it actually happened I didn't really know how to react and was shocked to the extent that I didn’t move for a couple of seconds. It was the moment to cherish through my life.
World Class Beauty Queens: What does it mean to you to be a Beauty Queen
Being a beauty queen is not just about looking good on the outside, but it is to have a got heart and positive thoughts. Also, to rise above her own expectations, be confident, inspire many to live their dreams.
World Class Beauty Queens: How did competing in pageants helped your life?
I have come out as a different person with lots and lots of confidence, new ambitions and the ability to carry myself beautifully at all times.
World Class Beauty Queens: How did pageants helped your selfesteem and body image?
I am able to carry myself in a very confident and elegant way. Having won the crown, I finally understood that it is not about physical appearance but the attitude you carry yourself with that matters the most.
World Class Beauty Queens: You are an inspiration to all the girls out there. How does it feel?
It feels amazing to be an inspiration, as when you see people getting in a better phase in their lives just because they see the change in me.
World Class Beauty Queens: What is your on stage strategy to win the judges over?
To be myself, Facing the judges with a smile and pride, enjoy the process rather an impressing them.
World Class Beauty Queens: How did you prepare for your competition?
I applied for the competition in the 1st week of October and When I got selected to be a finalist, I had very little time with me to prepare. I had to get my costumes ready, so I got a chance to design all my costumes. I polished my talents and focussed on my thoughts to give the best.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for learning better pageant walk?
Focus, Practice, Balance and be ready to get your body to experience a different mode. It might be painful at the beginning, but once you overcome it with patience, its the best body posture one can be in.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for choosing right pageant dress?
The costume that you choose must be comfortable to wear, suits your personality and you are to able carry it with attitude and confidence.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for winning interview?
Walk in with a smile, Stand confidently, introduce yourself and wait for the question. Don't be in a hurry to answer and there is no right or wrong answers. Be confident to put forth your thoughts and opinion.
World Class Beauty Queens: What is one mistake that you've done during competing you wish you could redo and fix it?
I do not think I have made any mistakes, but definitely there is no stop to keep on improving yourself. I think I gave my best during that phase of my life.
World Class Beauty Queens: What other mistakes are made by girls during the contest?
Not ready to accept criticism and giving up easily. Not confident enough of how to present themselves.
World Class Beauty Queens: Any modeling or acting experience?
I have been on stage many times, but nothing as a career in modelling and acting. But now after the competition, looking forward to making it as a career.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are your plans for 2022 as a Queen?
To inspire more women to follow their dreams, serve the society by working towards education, kick start my modelling and acting career.
World Class Beauty Queens: What kind of legacy do you want to leave behind?
The legacy which I wish to leave behind, would be to be a dreamer who had been able to achieve her goals without time and age being a barrier to anything, a person who Served the society as a part of lifestyle and not taking any extra effort to do the same.
