My name is Pratima Sharma, Mrs. South West Asia Universe 2020. I am a optimistic person who believes in living positive life rather living blissful life. World Class Beauty Queens: please tell us about your education.
I have done my Masters in commerce, M. A(Literature in English), B. Ed. World Class Beauty Queens: What does women empowerment mean to you? Women Empowerment for me is belief in self. It's the self realization of all the inherent qualities which the woman possesses. Empowerment comes from within. When a woman is self motivated, she achieves her dreams. Thank you. World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your pageant history? In 2019, I had won the title of Mrs. India 2019 from Elite Club international Ltd. This year I am honored with the title Mrs. South West Asia Universe 2020 by Mrs. Universe Ltd. World Class Beauty Queens: What inspired you to do your first pageant? It was my childhood dream to become a queen, walk a ramp with pride. This passion inspired me to participate in my first pageant.
World Class Beauty Queens: Why did you choose to compete for your current title?
I won the title of Mrs. India 2019, after winning this title I got empowered to participate for an international pageant of Mrs. Universe ltd. 2020.
World Class Beauty Queens: Those unfamiliar with your pageant system please tell us what is it about?
Mrs. Universe is an international and global combined event for the most responsible spouse and Human Rights Forum, first organized in Sofia, Bulgaria in 2007. The event is open to married, divorced, and widowed women from nations on all continents around the world, who are between the ages of 18 and 55, have a family and career, and are involved in a "significant cause.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are you being judged on during the competition?
The competition was held online it was purely voting based so no such criteria was followed of judging.
World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your experience during the competition.
The experience was awesome as I got recognition world wide, we all contestants became friends on our social media platforms.
World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your platform or what cause do you volunteer for.
I truly believe that a person with strong mind and heart should support the weaker section of our society so it's my moral duty to teach less fortunate children of the society.
World Class Beauty Queens: What appearances have you done with your title? I was competing for the title of Mrs. Universe 2020. I am with title of Mrs. South West Asia Universe 2020.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are some of your achievements?
Being a mother of two kids is itself an achievement, I find motherhood brings lots of responsibilities with happiness. Besides this I am a teacher and last year received National Women Excellence Award India 2020 On International Women's Day.
World Class Beauty Queens: What makes you stand out from all those other beautiful girls?
I found all girls were outstanding in their own way but I find myself unique among them as I am very positive person, whatever challenges I face I take them in a positive way and move ahead. World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about the moment your name was called out as the winner.
I wish this moment could have come as this was not a physical event. As I mentioned earlier it was an online contest but I feel proud to come under top 30 contestants , Thank You.
World Class Beauty Queens: What does it mean to you to be a Beauty Queen?
A beauty queen is a woman with golden heart who contributes towards the progress of the community.
World Class Beauty Queens: How did competing in pageants helped your life?
Participation in pageant has made my life more blissful. I have learnt to show sportsmanship spirit during the competition.
World Class Beauty Queens: How did pageants helped your self esteem and body image?
I have achieved more awareness regarding my presence of mind, to represent myself more confidently among people.
World Class Beauty Queens: You are an inspiration to all the girls out there. How does it feel?
It feels really great to become an inspiration and set an example for others in a positive way. I feel more confident and focused.
World Class Beauty Queens: You are an inspiration to all the girls out there. How does it feel?
My strategy is to be yourself, be confident, humble and answerable to their questions up to the mark.
World Class Beauty Queens: How did you prepare for your competition?
I learnt to be representable and confident in answering these questions, I took care of my fitness and mental health to face any challenge with presence of mind.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for learning better pageant walk?
Choose correct heels, walk in front of mirror and observe your walk and keep practicing until you get perfection while walking with proper attitude and confidence.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for choosing right pageant dress?
According to me it's important to go through the look book of any particular pageant and prepare the dress which suits your personality and fulfills the requirements of that pageant.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for winning interview?
My tips are self belief, presence of mind and relevant answers up to the mark.
World Class Beauty Queens: What is one mistake that you've done during competing you wish you could redo and fix it?
As the competition was voting based I should have started my campaigns 6 Months prior to the start of competition so that I could have strengthened my social media platforms to grab more votes.
World Class Beauty Queens: What other mistakes are made by girls during the contest?
There were many contestants who had not uploaded there introduction videos and some of them were having pictures in same costume instead of being representing themselves in other costumes and colours.
World Class Beauty Queens: Any modeling or acting experience?
I am passionate about doing modelling and acting in future so I don't possess such experience so far but I am willing for modelling and acting.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are your plans for 2021 as a Queen?
As a queen I would love to become an ambassador of peace and harmony to make this world a better place to live.
World Class Beauty Queens: What kind of legacy do you want to leave behind?
I would love to teach the characteristics of being honest, innocent, truthful and confident to the upcoming generation. A person can be successful in life if he or she follows the path of humanity so firstly become a good human being and you can achieve abundance in life.
