World Class Beauty Queens: To those unfamiliar with your pageant system please tell us what is it about?
Japan World Pageants (hereafter referred to as JWP for short) is the Japanese branch of the international pageants known as MRS INTERNATIONAL GLOBAL and MRS INTERNATIONAL WORLD.
JWP selects women who are attractive from a human standpoint, respecting not only external attractiveness such as height and appearance, but also internal beauty. We support women who shine, challenge, and move on as individuals, not as someone else's self, such as a mother, wife, or office worker.
World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us what inspired you to start or join your system?
I was selected to represent Japan at the 2017 Mrs. International Global in Japan. The following year, 2018, I became aware of this competition when I won the world competition held in Malaysia.
World Class Beauty Queens: Please tell us the founding story of the system.
When I won the first place in Mrs. International Global in 2018, the founder of the contest asked me to organize the Japan contest for the following year.
So, I accepted the offer to show my appreciation to her and repay her for giving me the opportunity to be the queen.
World Class Beauty Queens: What was the vision and the goal in the beginning while creating your pageant.
Since the founder of this world competition created the contest to aim fostering independency and self-love among women who have been married and wishing each one of them to reach their highest potential. I started following the same concept here in Japan.
World Class Beauty Queens: Please tell us about yourself.
I used to support my husband's business, but he passed away when I was 46 years old. And three years later I started working as a model.
I then became a certified walking instructor and started teaching.
Currently, I run the Beauty Academy, where I train walking instructors and offer various courses to help women become more beautiful.
World Class Beauty Queens: Please tell us about your education.
Junior College Graduates
World Class Beauty Queens: What does women Empowerment means to you?
Knowing yourself, making the most of what you like and what you are good at, spending your days fulfilling yourself by reaching for higher goals, always being vibrant and radiant.

World Class Beauty Queens: What inspired you to do your first pageant?
One of my acquaintances recommended me to participate in a Mrs. contest, which sounded interesting, and I did so out of curiosity.
World Class Beauty Queens: Over the years what Country, state or city the competition took place and why?
Once a year in Tokyo, Japan.
I didn't want to ask someone to hold more contests in other cities because I wanted to avoid it would be different from my ideal contest.
World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us what was special about each years competition.
I've been particular about the venue because I want the contestants to be able to perform comfortably.
I also put a lot of effort into the staging to create an atmosphere that would bring smiles to the faces of the entire audience, making them feel happy and moved by the event.
World Class Beauty Queens: What cultural significance has your pageant?
This contest is not about height, style, appearance, age, expensive dresses, or status, but about the realization that no matter how old you are or how little experience you have, you can always change and shine if you have a purpose and go for yourself.
We Japanese, from a young age, tend to see doing things for others as a virtue, but we are not good at doing things for ourselves, so I think this is one of the ways we can recognize that this is important.
World Class Beauty Queens: How long hours/days is the competition.
The Japan Pageant is one day long, but the World Pageant is one week long.
World Class Beauty Queens: Are contestants taken on any sight seeing during the competition?
Not in the Japan Pageant, but in the World Pageant
World Class Beauty Queens: What are the competitors being judged on during the competition?
Facial expression, total coordination, walking & posing skills, voice & speaking style, overall atmosphere
World Class Beauty Queens: How do you select your judges and who are they?
*I select beauty professionals such as.
Entertainment producer, Doctor, TV Producer, Film director, Beauty Producer, Dancer, Entrepreneur, etc.
World Class Beauty Queens: What kind of experience can contestants expect during the competition?
The valuable experiences like standing on the stage on your own, being in the spotlight and so on, which they cannot have in their daily life
Becoming different from your usual self with hair arrangement and makeup
Being able to make friends with people who have the same goals
Being able to conquer something that they have been afraid of
World Class Beauty Queens: Do contestants have to support and volunteer for any cause or charity either before the competition or during their reign?
