World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Tell us about your pageant history. February 2023 marked my first time participating in any type of pageant. It has been a wonderful experience, and I plan to participate in my second pageant this upcoming August. World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What inspired you to do your first pageant? My children were my inspiration. I always told them from a young age to dream big and reach for their goals. As I approach 60 years old, I finally decided to take my own advice. The validation also came when I witnessed a 60 year woman going to college for the first time, and I was very inspired by that. I decided at that moment, I can do this! World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Why did you choose to compete for your current title? I made the choice to compete because I trusted myself, believed in myself and more importantly I loved myself enough to at least try. World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: To those unfamiliar with your pageant system please tell us what is it about? The International Citrus Pageant and Model Search takes place in Orlando, FL every year. Anyone from babies all the way to adults, women and men are welcome to participate. This pageant looks for America's next famous face. World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What makes your director different from others? As a new pageant titleholder, I couldn't have asked for a better director. What sets Michael Galanes apart is how he shows you how to love what your doing and have fun with it. He also makes it his personal mission, to help and guide you with successful results. World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What are you being judged on during the competition? I was being judged on my Interview, Citrus Wear and Formal Wear.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Tell us about your experience during the competition. My experience was absolutely wonderful. Not only did everyone help each other which was very nice to see considering it was my first taste pageantry, but I also participated with my son. It was very heartwarming getting to share this expereince with my son because this was his first pagaent too. As a matter of fact, he was runner-up for Mr. Citrus. I was beaming with happieness and tears of joy when he placed. This whole expereince has just been wonderful and exciting. Also, as a result of this experience I will be competing again this year in another pageant.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Who would you recommend your system to? I would recommend this system to anyone who is beginning in the world of pageantry. Although there were many veterans competing, I found this experience as a first time competitor challenging, yet exciting and fascinating. World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Tell us about your platform or what cause do you volunteer for. My platform will focus on much needed humanity efforts such as children's hunger and human trafficking. World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What appearances have you done with your title? Considering I just received my title this month, I haven't had the opportunity to make appearances as of yet. However my plan is to appear with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and participate in charities and organizations that are close to my heart. I also plan on making appearances with fellow titleholders.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What are some of your achievements? Competing and winning the title of Ms. Citrus Classic International 2023 is one of my biggest achievements. I've worked on and implemented numerous projects for helping the homeless, won numerous aesthetic awards, but I have to say my biggest lifetime achievemnet is being called mom. World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What makes you stand out from all those other beautiful girls? My natural ability to be timeless and classic, beautiful and confident. I'm very proud of the confidence within me, because its very present in eveything I do. World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Tell us about the moment your name was called out as the winner. Honestly, it felt a dream come true. I was definitely confident enough to know even as a first timer, that I would be a runner up. But to hear my name called as the winner was an experience of a lifetime and true moment of accomplishment. World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What does it mean to you to be a Beauty Queen? I am self made, so I had to learn to love myself and see the beauty in me. To be acknowledged for that same beauty and be labeled as a Beauty Queen is inmeasurable, because now the world sees what I see.
