World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Can you share a bit about who you are? Like, what are your passions outside of the pageant world?
Pageantry is a very big part of my life but when I am not focused on that I really enjoy spending time in the pool or in the ocean; I really love the beach. I also love spending time with my friends playing online games and making each other laugh.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: I’m curious about your education journey. What's it been like for you, any particular highlights or challenges?
I am currently in Year 5 at Primary school. My favourite subjects are English, Health and Art. I am not the best when it comes to maths and numbers so that’s my biggest challenge but I am always willing to try my best!
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Women's empowerment is such a key topic. What does it mean to you personally?
I got my mum to breakdown what this really means and it made me realise that this is something very important to me because it’s something I have been through in the pageant world. I used to be shy, nervous and anxious and even needed someone to hold my hand on my first pageant experience as I walked the runway and now here I am holding a title! I have been empowered to really become the best, confident version of myself and I love doing the same for all the other women around me.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: How did you get into pageants? What sparked your interest initially?
I started pageants after watching my mum compete and win two titles. It looked like something that could be really fun and I wanted to try it out, luckily I was right!
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What motivated you to participate in your first pageant? Was there a defining moment?
I was ready to try something new and different and wanted to find something I could do that meant I could meet new people and have fun doing it. The most defining moment was watching my mum win her first title and I knew this was something I really wanted to be a part of and share with her.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Why did you choose to compete for your current title? What made it stand out for you?
I have always loved the Premier Elite Pageant system because it offers you the freedom to really choose your own platform and fundraise for a charity of your choice, which makes the journey a very personal one that gives you lots of opportunity to be yourself and share it with like-minded and caring people.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: I'd love to know more about your pageant system. Could you explain what it’s all about?
Sisterhood!! For me and from my experience it really is a place that allows you to be yourself and connect with loads of lovely people who I can now call friends. It has given me a safe place where I can grow in confidence and be supported while doing it.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What do you think sets your pageant director apart from others?
My pageant Director, Renata has the best laugh! She is always so kind to me, when I’m down she cheers me up and when I’m happy she is always there to smile and laugh with me. Renata has held my hand when I thought I couldn’t do something, she’s like my very own super hero!
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: During competitions, what are the key things you're judged on?
There are lots of different parts to our system, before we even get to pageant weekend we spend months doing appearances and fundraising events for our chosen charity; with these we create a portfolio that we hand in which gets adjudicated. There is a photogenic section (which I was lucky enough to win this year as well). After the pre-judging there is an additional ‘sisterhood’ score that is applied which is judged from your time over pageant weekend and how you interact with everyone. On pageant weekend we perform a talent, this is the best section to see how creative everyone gets. Once on stage doing our walks we have the following sections: Fun Fashion, Evening Wear, Sports Wear and Op Shop Fashion.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What’s your competition experience been like? Any memorable moments or learnings?
Every time I compete I have nothing but FUN! My favourite part of pageant weekend is always the pyjama party where I get to hang out with my friends and eat pizza!
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Would you recommend your pageant system to others? If so, why?
Absolutely! It has been somewhere I feel so comfortable and made some truly good friends.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Tell me about your advocacy or volunteer work. What causes are you passionate about?
My charity of choice is The Australian Koala Foundation. I am koala obsessed; it makes me so sad to think that one day these beautiful animals will not be around anymore and I want to make sure that never happens.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: With your title, what kinds of appearances or activities have you been involved in?
My journey has only just started as I was crowned in January 2025, I have however got many events and appearances planned for the year ahead, coming up soon I will be appearing and helping at two local community events and I am starting my own little market stall selling hair pieces with profits going to The Australian Koala Foundation.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Can you share some of your achievements, both in and outside of pageantry?
I enjoyed being part of a production at my local community theatre and I love challenging myself moving up levels at my swimming classes. In the pageant world during my first competition I won “Miss Promising Potential”, I have been lucky enough to win Miss Photogenic this year, I was previously also 1st runner up to my friend Zara and now lucky enough to be the title winner this year!
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: In such a competitive field, what do you think makes you stand out?
I always do everything with kindness, having a bubbly personality helps too, but I try to think how others feel before I act or say something.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: I can only imagine how it feels to win. What was going through your mind when your name was announced as the winner?
I honestly couldn’t believe it; I thought I was in a dream because I had dreamed of the moment many times and to be living it was honestly the best day ever. I cried so many happy tears.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What does being a Beauty Queen mean to you?
I feel so lucky; being a Queen means I have qualities that people see in me as something special that should be celebrated and that’s pretty awesome! It means I will always be a party of a circle of strong women I can call my friends.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: How have pageants impacted your life?
Pageants have definitely made me more confident, I have done things I never thought I could do with help and support of everyone around me and I am so grateful.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: How have pageants influenced your self-esteem and body image?
I don’t need to worry about my body before, during or after pageants. My mum has always told me that I am perfect the way I am and what other people think is none of my business.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: You’re an inspiration to many. How does that feel, and what message do you want to share with others?
That’s a lot to think about, I just want to be happy and make others happy so if this gives me an opportunity to bring joy then that’s pretty special. If I could share any message I would say that you can definitely surprise yourself.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What’s your strategy for captivating the judges on stage?
I believe in a mixture of good eye contact and just being myself. Confidence and a smile also go along way especially when that s also just a part of who you are.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: How do you prepare for competitions? Any specific routines or practices?
I try not to think about it all too much, I always practice if there is a certain pattern for the walks so I know where to go but when I’m up there I just do what feels right.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Got any tips for nailing the perfect pageant walk?
Your shoes are so important! I cannot walk confidently without the right shoes. Make sure you’re practicing in them when you can too.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Choosing the right pageant dress can be crucial. What are your tips for making the best choice?
My mum and I always chat through ideas and I just always go with my heart on what I really love and the colours and looks that make me feel beautiful.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Interview rounds can be tricky. What are your strategies for a winning interview?
In my age group for this system interviews are not expected yet but I love chatting so I look forward to trying that out in the future.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Looking back, is there a moment in a competition you wish you could redo?
Not really, I think everything I have done for this pageant and over the years I have been doing this has all been part of why I am now where I wanted to be. Mistakes are a part of life and as long as you learn from them they are not wasted.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What common mistakes do you see others making in contests?
I don’t really like to look for mistakes in others, that’s their time and their moment and I am just there to lift them up as part of my sisterhood.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Do you have any experience in modeling or acting?
I don’t have much experience in these areas but pageantry has certainly been a big part of giving me time in the spotlight.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What are your plans or goals for the upcoming year as a Queen?
I would love to continue to raise funds for the koalas this year and I want to keep growing the friendships I’ve made while also learning from the older Queens around me and supporting them in their community events too.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Finally, what kind of legacy do you hope to leave behind?
At first I wasn’t sure what legacy meant ha ha ha, but after it was explained to me I think for me I just wanted to be remembered for kindness. Lots of things can be very scary for everyone and I always feel better when my family and friends show me kindness so I would love to do the same for others!
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine would like to say thank you for this wonderful interview.
