Full name: Jodie-Maree Hudson Title/Year: MS Australia Global World 2021 Pageant System: World Universal Productions Age: 31 Education Level: Year 11, diploma in sports nutrition, Cert 3 and 4 in fitness and currently studying nursing. Zodiac sign: Sagittarius Hobbies: Keeping fit, going on hikes with my dog Xena, Traveling and sports. Dislikes: Rude and disrespectful people, Negativity. Status: Single World Class Beauty Queens: Please tell us about yourself. I joined the Army straight out of school and served for 13 years. I received a soldier's medallion in 2016 for exemplary service. I was medically discharged last year due to an injury I sustained on exercise. I have had 12 hip surgeries in the last 3 years, my last been a hip replacement and will be having the other side replaced soon. Some days I struggle to walk at all so I find it key to try and stay positive. World Class Beauty Queens: Please tell us about your education. I completed year 11 prior to joining the Australian Army when I was 17. During my time in I have completed many courses both civilian and military. civilian course include my cert 3 and 4 in fitness, diploma in sports nutrition, I have just finished my sign am currently studying my certificate in nursing. World Class Beauty Queens: What does women Empowerment means to you? To me it means empowering other woman to achieve their goals, believe in themselves, be kind and also helping others. World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your pageant history. My first pageant (NAMP) was last year and it was amazing everyone was so nice and it was completely different to what I was expecting. I came 1st runner up (2nd). This experience made me enter MS Australia World Universal in which I won Ms Australia Global World and once again had such an amazing experience and met such wonderful and supportive people. World Class Beauty Queens: What inspired you to do your first pageant? I had just been discharged from the Army and was searching the net looking for thing which were different to what I was used to help get my mind off it, and I decided to enter online not expecting to be accepted or for the pageant experience to be so much fun and the girls to be so nice and supportive of everyone. World Class Beauty Queens: Why did you choose to compete for your current title? I met a few girls at my first pageant who suggested I come and do the Universal pageant as well and I thought it would be a great opportunity to talk more about my history and platform and also wanted to meet some more amazing and inspiring people in which I did. World Class Beauty Queens: To those unfamiliar with your pageant system please tell us what is it about? World Universal is an organization that celebrates all woman. World Universal seeks to empower ALL women no matter their size or background and we work with many charities including Tour de Cure. World Class Beauty Queens: What are you being judged on during the competition? There are 4 components, Interview, introduction, fitness wear and formal wear from here the finalists are announced and are called forward to answer an on-stage question. World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your experience during the competition. I had such an amazing experience; everyone was so supportive of each other and we all helped each other out when needed. it was such a great event to be a part of with some amazing people. World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your platform or what cause do you volunteer for. I volunteer at my local RSL helping veterans and their families I also attend local charity fundraising events. World Class Beauty Queens: What appearances have you done with your title? I have attended local charity fundraisers but due to been in lock down most events have been postponed so i am looking forwarded to attending these in the near future. World Class Beauty Queens: What are some of your achievements? When I was a teenager I came 3rd in Australia for karate, I joined the Army at 17 and I represented the defense force for soccer in NZ in 2009, I became a corporal and served 13 years. In 2016 I received a soldier's medallion for exemplary service, walked the Kokoda trail and bought my first house. World Class Beauty Queens: What makes you stand out from all those other beautiful girls? I feel that been honest and been myself is key as I believe this will show on stage. World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about the moment your name was called out as the winner. I was shocked as I honestly did not think I would win anything as their where so many amazing girls on stage with me, but I was so happy, excited and thankful for the opportunity that I was been given. World Class Beauty Queens: What does it mean to you to be a Beauty Queen? To me it is an Honor and a privilege to be picked to represent the organization. I want to strive to be a role model for young girls wanting to enter a pageant and help within their communities. I want to help inspire others to achieve their goals. World Class Beauty Queens: How did competing in pageants helped your life? It has introduced me to some amazing and inspiring people which has helped bring so much positivity into my life. World Class Beauty Queens: How did pageants helped your self-esteem and body image? After having so many surgeries it has helped remind me that everyone is beautiful both inside and out. On days that I can't walk or I am worried about all my scars I just remember what World Universal Productions is all about and remember how supportive everyone was. World Class Beauty Queens: You are an inspiration to all the girls out there. How does it feel? Its such a privilege to wear my sash and crown and know I am inspiring others out there to achieve their goals. World Class Beauty Queens: What is your on stage strategy to win the judges over? To just be myself, stay positive and be honest. World Class Beauty Queens: How did you prepare for your competition? I researched what the pageant was and what it was about, I made sure I knew everything I could about the pageant and followed all the organizations posts on social media, I researched appropriate outfits for each category and ensured I paid extra attention in the rehearsals and any meeting we had about the pageant. World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for learning better pageant walk? Practice makes perfect. practice in your shoes you plan on wearing on stage. If your pageant has a coach make sure you listen and take on any tips. World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for choosing right pageant dress? Find something that makes you feel comfortable a lot of dress shops will have amazing staff that will help find the best dress for your body shape. My dress was from BFM in Adelaide and they were amazing. World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for winning interview? Be yourself and be honest. It is easier to talk about causes that you believe in and have an active role in. World Class Beauty Queens: What is one mistake that you've done during competing you wish you could redo and fix it? On my interview question I conducted a military turn without even realizing until I got off stage. I'm unsure if it was very noticeable but I felt quite silly after realizing. World Class Beauty Queens: What other mistakes are made by girls during the contest? To me you can always tell when girls are been fake so I feel girls not been themselves or trying to be someone else is a mistake that is made by some girls. World Class Beauty Queens: Any modeling or acting experience? Yes I have done promotional modelling at various events and was in a low-grade movie called Urban lock down however that was the only acting I have ever done. World Class Beauty Queens: What are your plans for 2021 as a Queen? I want to continue volunteering and also inspire girls to achieve their goals. Once lock down is over I am looking forward to attending charity events with the other queens and director. World Class Beauty Queens: What kind of legacy do you want to leave behind? I want to be remembered as someone who helped others and made a difference in my community. And as someone who inspired others to achieve their goals.
