I’m a mother, journalist, marketing and sales woman, a working person, who all the time work for her goals and dreams. I’m responsible, leader, discipline, outgoing and a funny person.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Please tell us about your education.
I did the elementary school in the public education, then I won a scholarship because I played very well baketball and I did high school in a private education. After that I decided to study journalins first in Costa Rica but a moved to live in Argentina and I finished there. Ten years later I got back to Costa Rica and I did my Master degree in Neuromarketing.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What does women Empowerment means to you?
For me women empowerment means that women support other women in everything.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Tell us about your pageant history.
I participated in 2007 in Miss Costa Rica pageant, I was in the ten finalists but I lost and then fifteen years later I decided to participe in Mrs. Universe 2022 and I won the crown.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What inspired you to do your first pageant?
In that time my coworkers encouraged me to participated because they thougth I had all the caracteristics to be a Queen.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Why did you choose to compete for your current title?
I saw the opportunity to has a revanche fifteen years later with a totally different madurity.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: To those unfamiliar with your pageant system please tell us what is it about?
This contest is special because one of the mandatory requirements is to be mom.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What makes your director different from others?
This is not only a Beauty pageant this is an intense empowerment course. The directors focus in each candidate to believe in themselves and discover the amazing woman have inside. The main message is that the woman's doesn't have any limits to create their dreams.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What are you being judged on during the competition?
In Costa Rica the directors want a responsable Queen that can do everything by her self and an integral woman who represent our country.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Tell us about your experience during the competition.
It was amazing. I felt every week a challence to improve my self. We worked so hard for one hundred days to do a great show.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Who would you recommend your system to?
I recommend for all the women who wants to find themselves and wants to discover the maximum potential they have to do everything they dream.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Tell us about your platform or what cause do you volunteer for.
I want to motivate people to study hard because the education is the key to grow on the path of life. Currently in my work we practice the seven principles of recycling and this is a responsibility that we have with the future generations to leave a habitable planet.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What appearances have you done with your title?
I appeared in the news of our country, in the social media and in the tv shows.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What are some of your achievements?
Some of my achievements are: be an mom (it took a while because a medical diagnostic) , my máster degree, work around the world , played baketball in the nacional team and represent again Costa Rica but this time in an Internacional Beauty Peagent.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What makes you stand out from all those other beautiful girls?
I'm a integral woman and my authenticity, my values and my honesty are the things that make me different from other beautiful girls. The real internal beauty is the legacy you leave in the people who meet you.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Tell us about the moment your name was called out as the winner.
I thought I deserved because I worked so hard and It is a gift from heaven from my father.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What does it mean to you to be a Beauty Queen?
It's a big responsibility with my country but especially for the women's who are a mother. I want people believe if they work hard they can do everything their proposal. A Beauty Queen has to project that the real beauty is inside with good values, to be kind and specially to be Humble.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: How did competing in pageants helped your life?
I believe totally in myself and now I know that all the dreams can be true if you work hard and focus in the things you have to do with passion and love.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: How did pageants helped your selfesteem and body image?
Now I feel one hundred percent secure with my body and how I introduce my self to others. My maturity allows me to accept my body with all the perfection and imperfection that I have.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: You are an inspiration to all the girls out there. How does it feel?
It's a big responsibility because now I know many girls follow my steps so I have to try to do my best job in the whole areas that I development my self.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What is your on stage strategy to win the judges over?
Look straight to their eyes, and transmit security and do my best work in the catwalk and have the control in the expression on my face.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: How did you prepare for your competition?
I have been training for one hundred days. I took lessons for the passarella, social media, make up, hairstyles, empowerment courses, meditation, nutrition plan, Kickboxing, reading and viewing videos of contest all the time.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What are your tips for learning better pageant walk?
Learn from the best teachers in our country, view the famous contests, learn from great misses, practice all the time, look the posture positions in the mirror, the legs, arms, back, expresions on the face and wear haels all the time.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What are your tips for choosing right pageant dress?
You need a image consultant, and do the colorimetry test and find out what your body type is to choose the best option for you.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What are your tips for winning interview?
In my case I have an extra points because I'm a journalist and an outgoing person and feel secure when I talk no matter who is in front of me. Always need to speak slowly, listening carefully the question, look the eyes of the interviewer and try to stay calm and don't forget to practice the diction.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What is one mistake that you've done during competing you wish you could redo and fix it?
During the contest many times I felt lost and I stop believin on me. A strong mind it can be the difference.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What other mistakes are made by girls during the contest?
Some girls stop believing that they had all the tools to achieve it.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Any modeling or acting experience?
Yes, I'm a model and many times I do photos, videos as model and sometimes as a tv host.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What are your plans for 2023 as a Queen?
I'm doing my best job in the whole areas: catwalk, nutrition, training my body every week. I know if I do everything I have in my hands with commitment and if I only foccus on me, the name and the flag of Costa Rica is going to be called in the top of the International contest in Bulgaria in January 2023.
Part of my goals is inspire women to work hard in their dreams they want to be true. I can use my social media and Mrs Universe media to express with respect this. I need to transmit the whole work behind the scenes. In the life nothing is a gift because you have to work hard for the things you want to do.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What kind of legacy do you want to leave behind?
First I want the best result in the International contest. I would like the country be proud of me and I want the people remember me as a dreamer, worker, mom who all the time fight for her dreams with humble no matter the adversities of the life.
