My name is Guillermo Diaz. I like to workout and bodybuilding has been my passion. I do it for the fact that you can workout go to the gym, eat healthy. Also live a healthy lifestyle. World Class Kings Magazine: Why did you choose to compete for your title? It was mainly to step out of my comfort zone. I felt the need to be comfortable being uncomfortable. (A man once told me if you are not growing you are dying.) That did stick with me. Growth became my pathway to success.
World Class Kings Magazine: To those unfamiliar with your pageant system please tell us what is it about? The Council for youth empowerment is a Pageant that serves the community and helps all of the community through creating new young leaders making the world a better place. We need real human leaders not the ones you see in social media. World Class Kings Magazine: What are you being judged on during the competition? We get judged on the professionalism, stage presence and a big smile. As well as the onstage question and talent show.
World Class Kings Magazine: Which part of the competition was the most fun for you?
My favorite part was showing off my class and modeling the suit. Born and raised in America's finest city we keep it classy. World Class Kings Magazine: Which part of the competition was most challenging for you? Talent show was the most challenging. I did not know any jokes at the time. I have improved and could use some work on it. World Class Kings Magazine: What inspired you to do your first pageant? The fact that young men needing a real-life role model someone they can relate to in life. I felt and saw in my mind i was that gentleman. World Class Kings Magazine: What are some of your achievements? The Presidential service award in which we did countless hours of community service. Modeling for Macys. I am the First youngest Man to ever receive the man of achievement award, Became a Licensed financial professional helping families save and make money in California, I graduated from Tuner school of construction management. As well as Consecutively being Mr. San Diego and Mr. California with CYE. Winning the NPC bodybuilding competitions years on end.
World Class Kings Magazine: Tell us about your platform or what charity you volunteer for?
Our platform is Today a reader tomorrow a leader. We collect and donate books to the little libraries in San Diego county all over the community. World Class Kings Magazine: What are some of the appearances that you've done?
Holiday bowl parade in San Diego Alpine parade, North park toyland parade, La mesa flag day parade, modeling for Macys, judged state and local pageants (Miss vista, Miss Bonsall Miss California, Mr. cardinal, United States of America pageant) Judging a pageant is no easy task.
World Class Kings Magazine: Tell us about your evening wear? My evening wear is a suit with a red tie. Hair made to look classy. You look great so you feel great. World Class Kings Magazine: Tell us about your national costume? My national costume is the southern California beach day guy with some props (beach ball, sunscreen, beach towel, and board shorts.) World Class Kings Magazine: What makes you stand out from all those other guys?
I am a driven and inspiring individual! I knew I would change the way you would look at male pageantry. Being a pioneer of the male pageant. I would not give up. World Class Kings Magazine: How did it feel to hear your name as the winner? It felt amazing it definitely changed my life. I still have the picture of my crowning with my sash. My outlook really changed and taught me that the best business to be in is in the business of serving others. World Class Kings Magazine: What does the stole (sash) symbolize to you? The sash is more of a display to put the name out of for Mr California pageant. To me it is what is in the heart that counts. It's not on you its in you. World Class Kings Magazine: What does it mean to you to be a King?
Being a King you have to know the way go the way and show the way. Leadership takes a lot of discipline, dedication, and commitment as well as stepping outside your comfort zone. World Class Kings Magazine: Any Modeling, Film, acting, or music experience you would like to share? Modeling for Macy's fashion show 3 years and bodybuilding posing at the San Diego convention center.
World Class Kings Magazine: What are your plans for 2022 as a King? We plan to create more kings. A leader is someone who creates more leaders. The year 2023 we will crown the next titleholder. As well as we will be doing more events.
World Class Kings Magazine: What kind of legacy do you want to leave behind? I want to leave a legacy that I will have a statue with my name and positive quotes around the plaque of the whole statue. That I've created. As well as having a huge family lifeline of pageantry, service, and positive impact in the world and communities.
