World Class Beauty Queens: What are some of your achievements?
I feel that I am yet to achieve many things in life. My biggest achievement is that I have faced all the odds in life with courage and patience. To enumerate some of the achievements:
· I am the first Indian woman to write a very comprehensive text book on “Behavior Finance” published by reputed Sage publishers
· I have done path breaking research in the field of Corporate Finance and Behavior Finance and this work has received accolades at International level.
· I have launched initiative “Samvednayein” which has three pronged focus: Awareness, Acceptance and rehabilitation of children who are on Autism Spectrum disorder.
· I am a role model for the parents of all special children. If I can participate in a pageant and be successful. Such parents who are living their life in seclusion need to come out of their shell.
· My biggest achievement is when God gave me strength and presence of mind to save my family from massive outburst of fire on 13/1/21 from sixth floor of our apartments through a broken ladder. We have practically lost everything in fire.
World Class Beauty Queens: What makes you stand out from all those other beautiful girls?
I am an academician and this really made me stand out. My strengths were my communication skills, Onstage presence and confidence, rich education background, agility and capability to grasp new things. My well articulated introduction and quick-witted answers really made the difference. Moreover, I am passionate about the cause of Autism spectrum disorder and really working for it unlike many girls who fake the causes they support and do nothing about it.
World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about the moment your name was called out as the winner.
The moment was very beautiful and a memory to be cherished throughout the life.
World Class Beauty Queens: What does it mean to you to be a Beauty Queen?
A real Beauty Queen is one who never loses, she either wins or learns. Her beauty is the illumination of her soul. As a Beauty Queen I always remember what APJ Abdul Kalam said, I am not handsome But I can give my hand to someone who needs help because beauty is required in heart not in face.
World Class Beauty Queens: How did competing in pageants helped your life?
Pageants have made me more confident. They have given me an opportunity to unleash my potential to the maximum and bring my true self in front of the world.
World Class Beauty Queens: How did pageants helped your selfesteem and body image?
The pageants gave big boost to my self esteem. They helped me to earn lot of respect in the society and increased my confidence manifolds. They have empowered me to work more strongly for the cause I support. I have now become more health conscious and have learnt to carry myself in a much better way.
World Class Beauty Queens: You are an inspiration to all the girls out there. How does it feel?
I really hold lot of responsibility because I am a Professor who is also a sub title winner. All students especially girls look upon me as a role model. Therefore, I need to perform all my duties with utmost sincerity and dedication. I will carry glory and honour associated with crown with integrity. My message to the girls out there “The best view comes after the hardest climb”. So never give up until you succeed.
World Class Beauty Queens: What is your on-stage strategy to win the judges over?
I was very focused right from the day I was selected for auditions. I completed all task assigned with utmost sincerity and dedication. Winners focus on winning while losers focus on winners. My optimism and ability to go beyond unsurmountable barriers of self apprehension, self doubt and never to give up attitude helped me to make a mark.
World Class Beauty Queens: How did you prepare for your competition?
My performance in the talent round was contemporary dance form based on theme of Autism Spectrum Disorder. I had to only 90 seconds to convey my message to the world. I put my heart and soul into it. I prepared list of 100 most commonly asked pageant questions and prepared well articulated answers for them. I designed my own white formal dress, traditional dress and evening gown according to my body type and personality. Today when I see my videos and pictures, I feel my efforts have borne fruits.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for learning better pageant walk?
I think only key to success is practice. The more you practice, the better you will get at pageant walk. It is equally important to rehearse poses, turns along with the walk.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for choosing right pageant dress?
To me, clothing is a form of self expression-There are hints and cues about what you are in what you wear. Therefore, always choose a dress that complements your body type and enhances your personality. Choose a dress which is comfortable, elegant and beautiful and aligns with your individuality.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for winning interview?
The best way is to rehearse answers for commonly asked interview questions in front of mirror. The answers should be honest and reflection of your personality. Don’t try to fake and boast in front of judges. A true pageant judge will be able to assess your true potential in few minutes and no camouflaging will help. Most importantly, if you don’t see yourself as a winner, then you cannot perform as a winner. So, have that winning attitude.
World Class Beauty Queens: What is one mistake that you've done during competing you wish you could redo and fix it?
I am very happy and satisfied with my performance at the pageant but If I can redo or fix one thing, it could be more practice in walking with heels.
World Class Beauty Queens: What other mistakes are made by girls during the contest?
I think in the process of trying to imitate others, one loses her individuality. That’s what some of the girls did. Some thought that skin show will make all the difference which unfortunately did not. Resorting to fake stories, excuses to gain sympathy of judges before the different rounds was another one of the common mistakes.

World Class Beauty Queens: What are your plans for 2021 as a Queen?
I have to carry the title of Mrs India Renaissance with utmost integrity and respect. I had planned a very big Talent show for special children as a part of my initiative “Samvednayein” in May 2020 but it got postponed due to current pandemic. In 2021 I will conduct the show with a big bang. Apart from this I have couple of modelling assignments in hand which I think is going to give a big boost to my career in the glamour world.
World Class Beauty Queens: What kind of legacy do you want to leave behind?
I want to be remembered as a person with pure and loving heart. It is said that the best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched – they must be felt with the heart. The biggest achievement is to be remembered as good human being. People will forget what you did, People will forget what you said but they will never forget how you made them feel. Therefore, always empathize with others as we never know what kind of battle someone is fighting.
