World Class Beauty Queens: What does women empowerment mean to you?

To me, women empowerment means that every woman is naturally endowed with qualities of strength, resilience, and great passion within them. It is just a matter of their awakening and deep resolve that translates the challenges into victories and failures into greater lessons. Once women magnify their voices and unite as a force, there is nothing that is impossible. Women are blessed with the life-creating force and their role in shaping the minds of future generations is very vital. Women play an indispensable role in turning the wheels of not only families but societies and nations at large. Their contribution can truly be called the cradles of civilization. And so, I believe that when we, women, join our hearts and hands together, we empower each other.

World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your pageant history.

Mrs India International Queen was the first pageant I participated in, and my experience has been very enriching. It was a truly once-in-a-lifetime moment and I am glad that I am able to experience and live it. As a child, I dreamt of being a beauty queen, walking the ramp with the crown held high and my dream became a reality when I was crowned as Mrs India International Queen 2021 after competing with 51 participants across the world.

World Class Beauty Queens: What inspired you to do your first pageant?

Oprah Winfrey once said, "The biggest adventure you can take is to live the life of your dreams".

I strongly believe that life is a learning curve and participating in the beauty pageant would help me to embrace the true inner beauty of strength, kindness, and genuine care coupled with the outer beauty. It would also help me transform to become a better version of myself. I also believe that if the determination of a woman is strong to fulfill her dreams, the marriage and kids do not pull her back to achieve her dreams, rather it provides the impetus. Hence, this became my biggest inspiration to realize my childhood dream of being the beauty queen which I could not fulfill as a teenager.

I wanted to lead the way forward by my own example to inspire many women to live the life of immense possibility and believe in the infinite power that lies within. I always wanted to work towards giving back to society and getting connected to a platform that would help me create an impact.

World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your experience during the competition.

The journey of becoming the winner of the pageant was a transformative learning experience. The pageant preparation developed in me the virtues of confidence, resilience, hard work, and self-discipline. I learned a lot from the enriching experiences of fellow contestants. Beauty and Wellness sessions, Ramp walk training, and Self-defence training sessions were indeed helpful and informative. The expertise and experiences of the previous year's winners and the guidance of Mrs. Ankita Saroha, the director of the pageant, were very helpful. All the training has helped me to discover a newer and stronger self that lead me to a glorious win. I understood that dreams aren’t easy to chase but require courage, conviction, and persistent effort.

World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your platform or what cause do you volunteer for.

Mrs India International Queen platform is not just about winning the title but also encouraging Women Empowerment and promoting cultural heritage. They want queens to use their talent to raise awareness in the aid of humanity to make real differences in society. Divine activity is organized by them, every month, in collaboration with the NGO to work towards giving back to society. I volunteer for the cause to empower women and the only way to do is by promoting education for the girl child as education builds a strong foundation for the life.

World Class Beauty Queens: What appearances have you done with your title?

After winning the crown Mrs India International Queen 2021, I was felicitated by the International Association of Lions Club.

I was welcomed as a guest of honor by Rotary International Club, Chandigarh to felicitate the youth of the club for their significant contribution to society.

World Class Beauty Queens: What are some of your achievements?

I certainly feel that I have been of service through the opportunities that came my way.

I was able to provide training and therapies to children suffering from autism and cerebral palsy along with care for leprosy patients. It was a rewarding experience that spurred me to offer a few more training sessions to the children of special needs by extending tips on physiotherapy.

I have been offering free medical consultations to domestic and community workers. Keenly sensing, their struggles, I also funded the education of 2 under-privileged kids through the SOS -Society (NGO), and created a drive to donate clothes to the needy and poor people.

Last but not the least, it was a great challenge to create a balance between family, societal, and professional commitments, as I had resumed my job after a gap of four years, after fulfilling my responsibilities of caring for my young kids and also by going back on the health wagon by shedding 20kgs in the last 6 months and constantly engaging with family and friends on talks around healthy eating, exercise and spiritual regimens for the equanimity between body and soul.

I feel privileged to be the winner of this pageant as it has oiled the wheels of change within me, and I intend to take this further onto many people out there.

World Class Beauty Queens: What makes you stand out from all those other beautiful girls?

I was humbled to be a part of such a prestigious pageant that had contestants across the globe and from all walks of life. Each one was amazing in their own ways but what sets me apart was my smile, my preparedness, my positive approach, and my winning attitude. Smile is the best expression of confidence, elegance, courage, serenity, true happiness, positivity, and trust, that stood me apart, conspicuously.

World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about the moment your name was called out as the winner.

Days and months of preparation were involved ever since my participation as the finalist of the pageant was confirmed. I had to strike the right balance between my personal and professional life along with working hard for my passion and dream. With my family and friends cheering for me at the top of their voices gave me the confidence much needed on the stage. I was overwhelmed, emotional and elated to hear my name as the winner of Mrs India International Queen 2021. My happiness had no limits when I saw my family and kids dancing near the stage and tears of joy flowing from my mother and grandmother’s eyes. I was overjoyed when my kids shouted aloud ‘my mom is now a Queen’. I am thankful to my entire family for the tremendous support it was a moment of great pride and honour to walk the ramp with the crown held high on my head.

World Class Beauty Queens: What does it mean to you to be a Beauty Queen?

To me a beauty queen is a role model who is a perfect combination between beauty, grace, elegance, dignity and thoughtfulness. She is tenacious, has a strong vision to work for society and has a charisma that sets her apart. She can prove her awesomeness in all attributes of life. Her strength is her smile, generosity, honesty, and commitment. She is a true combination of beauty with brains.

World Class Beauty Queens: How did competing in pageants helped your life?

My pageant journey has been phenomenal and instrumental in developing a winning attitude in life. It has not just helped me to accomplish my dream but also made me a stronger person. It has brought in me the unique qualities that I should possess as a Queen to help me stand out in the crowd.

World Class Beauty Queens: How did pageants helped your selfesteem and body image?

My participation in the pageant has been a transformative and enriching journey. It truly gave me a strong reason to strengthen and polish my life both internally and externally to shine like a diamond. I strived to lose 22 kgs to have a toned physique. It boosted my self-confidence and pushed me to introspect my inner self. I felt elated to see my most beautiful self while on stage.

World Class Beauty Queens: You are an inspiration to all the girls out there. How does it feel?

It is a matter of pride and honor to be the role model that people can look up to and be a source of inspiration for many. With the crown comes great responsibility. I am committed to continuously striving on the path to fulfill my responsibility as a Queen and leave an everlasting legacy.

World Class Beauty Queens: What is your on stage strategy to win the judges over?

While on stage it is really important to be a star who radiates light. My confidence, my belief in myself, my smile, my winning attitude, and my energetic life force throughout the duration of the pageant dazzled the judges.

World Class Beauty Queens: How did you prepare for your competition?

My pageant preparation started from the month when I qualified to be amongst the top 51 contestants for the grand finale of Mrs India International Queen. I focused primarily on enhancing my skills and building my confidence. It's very important to have a winning mindset so I read lot of books to get the right mindset to win the pageant. I prepared for the introduction and interview round several times and practiced in front of a mirror to get the fluency and right accent.

I prepared and practiced traditional dance for my talent round and rehearsed it several times daily. I also practiced daily to improve my ramp walk by following a lot of YouTube videos. I researched and decided on the dress I should be wearing in all the rounds during the pageant and got them ready on time. I planned the whole preparation meticulously and ensured to follow it throughout. I prepared myself very strongly for winning the pageant by putting my heart and soul into it.

World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for learning better pageant walk?

You should always walk the ramp with beauty, elegance, grace and confidence. This requires practice and patience to get the right pace and momentum. Walk with the stable high heels right from the beginning, observing and improving your walk in front of the mirror on an everyday basis. One could follow some good ramp walk videos available on YouTube. The posture is the most important as it shows your personality confidence and makes you look taller. Look straight with your head high, do not move your shoulder. Let your hips swing from one side to another be relaxed and natural. Most importantly always carry a broad smile.

World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for choosing right pageant dress?

The dress you choose for the pageant should complement your body type and shape. The color of the dress you choose should enhance your complexion and skin tone to bring out the glow. Also, it is important, it should be comfortable enough to walk the ramp confidently. It should enhance your overall look and make you appealing.

World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for winning interview?

Interviews can help you communicate and reveal your true self by voicing out your thoughts and opinion genuinely from your heart. So, you should answer what you believe and think is right. Be honest and feel confident during the interview. Do not get nervous. Do not rote learn your answers beforehand, instead speak spontaneously as you think. There is a high probability that you forget answers due to stage fright unless you are very good at public speaking for a long time. Showcase your priorities, values, strength, and character through your answers. You should be able to prove your awesomeness.

World Class Beauty Queens: What is one mistake that you've done during competing you wish you could redo and fix it?

I am the winner of Mrs India International Queen 2021. My journey in the pageant has been a very enriching experience. So, I don't really think I would want to redo or fix anything, rather cherish these moments throughout my life.

World Class Beauty Queens: What other mistakes are made by girls during the contest?

In my opinion, girls did not have a strong belief in themselves. They lack confidence, conviction, and a clear vision. Lack of proper preparation and focus is yet another mistake made by them.

World Class Beauty Queens: Any modeling or acting experience?

I am very passionate about modeling and acting. I won the title of Mrs India Best Rampwalk at Mrs India international queen 2021. It’s the testimony of my passion and the right skill set to step up further in modeling. I undertook the modeling assignment from Next perfumes and deodorant brand by NEXT CARE INC. where I did unboxing and photoshoot of their 6 newly launched perfumes.

World Class Beauty Queens: What are your plans for 2022 as a Queen?

As an ambassador of Mrs India International Queen, I will be the foremost flag bearer to promote the initiatives of the pageant for its success. There is nothing more rewarding than giving back to society and making a difference in the lives of the people of the community.

I am committed to the cause of empowering women and continue to collaborate with other initiatives/NGOs to create the best impact and touch more lives.

I plan to conduct seminars on female hygiene, breastfeeding, education on menstrual needs, and food & nourishment issues.

I am in the process of creating training program to motivate the parents of children with special needs to use physiotherapy exercises and counseling as a means to develop the capabilities of their children, thereby creating a culture of inclusion. I plan to launch entrepreneurial training programs for women of rural India so that they can utilize their hobbies and skills to earn a living.

World Class Beauty Queens: What kind of legacy do you want to leave behind?

I want to be a woman who is a true embodiment of elegance, beauty, grace, and a kind heart. The quote that inspires me, “Carve your name on hearts, not tombstones. A legacy is etched into the minds of others and the stories they share about you.” Without a vision, people perish, however, with a strong vision one can create an everlasting legacy of greatness. I strongly believe the great use of life is to spend it for the welfare of the society and helping people around, that will outlast it and inspire the generations to come. I am determined to realize my vision and create an inspiring life story, that’s what would be a great legacy to leave behind.
