World Class Models Magazine: Please tell us about yourself.
Hello everyone, my name is Derek Tokarzewski, I'm from the Chicago area. I'm fun and easy going with a BOSS attitude. I was born in Poland, moved to Chicago received Bachelors degree in Media Arts and Animation. In my 30s I became professional fashion photographer. I was able to be part of last 2015 Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week, then LA Fashion Week and finally Paris Fashion Week. After that I was Mr USA United Nations 2017 and year later I won the prestigious international title of Mr United Nations 2018. And now I'm the owner of World Class Brand Publishing with over 60 magazines in Pageantry, Fashion, Modeling, Film and Music.
World Class Models Magazine: Tell us about the photographer you are working with.
Currently I'm working with and mentoring very talented Paloma Greer. She's an artist at heart with keen and fresh eye in fashion photography. She's creative and fun to work with. Looking forward to collaborating on our next photoshoot.
World Class Models Magazine: Please tell us about your amazing World Class Celebrity Covers.
Dreams do come true. As a World Class Celebrity I've been on 3 World Class covers. My first cover was for World Class Kings Magazine after I announced my title as Mr USA United Nations 2017. This was a dream come true, I decided that my legacy will be winning the title of Mr United Nations. So I put all my pageant knowledge to the test and spend every day for a year getting ready for the competition. I fulfilled the legacy I envisioned by winning the title year later in Jamaica. It was amazing experience which I'll cherish and never forget. My second cover was for World Class Photographers Magazine. In very short period of time I went from doing practice photoshoots on the streets of Chicago to being part of major international fashion weeks. Becoming a magazine owner and later a publishing house gave me little to no time to do my own photoshoots so going on a Cover of World Class Photographers Magazine was my symbolic farewell to art of photography.
And the most recent third cover was for World Class Beauty Queens Magazine 100th Anniversary Issue. I was a Cover Celebrity as the owner of the magazine. This issue made history by being the biggest print pageant magazine in the world with 384 pages. Featuring every Cover Girl interview issue 1 to 99. Right now World Class Beauty Queens Magazine is THE biggest print pageant magazine in the world with 126 issues supported by 27 other pageant magazines. Personally I've interviewed over 2000 Beauty Queens from around the world. Featuring at least one Beauty Queens from every country. My next personal goal is 10000 pageant interviews and looking forward to issue 1000. Dreams do come true.
World Class Models Magazine: Please tell us about your modeling experience.
My recent experience winning the title of Mr United Nations 2018 gave me the boost I needed to step into the world of modeling. The stage, the audience, the competition gave me new perspective of what I want to achieve in the future. And what I want to achieve is the ultimate version of myself. I already became the intranational fashion photographer, and later international pageant winner. So now it's time to flex my skills and build my modeling image and reach for greatness one interview, photoshoot and a Cover at a time. My first runway experience was when I was in college. It was a fashion show mixed with body painting. It was a fun experience and everything seemed to happen so fast. Backstage was exciting with all the models getting ready and body painted. More recent runway experience was for a charity event where I was wearing designer sunglasses. So now I'm building my professional modeling image with creative photoshoots and interviews.
World Class Models Magazine: What made you decide to become a model?
I'm in a chapter in my life where I want to experience the ultimate version of myself. Winning Mr United Nations 2018 was the beginning of my legacy. Now I want to see what I can accomplish as a model. Have some fun and make a name for myself by working with some talented professionals from around the world that I'm already connected with.
World Class Models Magazine: What is your favorite style of modeling and why?
I enjoy both runway and photoshoots. Both have unique attributes that I'm ready to explore and learn from. I love the runway because it is live and you have the audience so it's very raw. Editorial work is just as fun and important. You have the chance to bring someone else's design to life and give it a personality while fulfilling the vision of the designer. For now I'll focus on a more raw and sophisticated look and modeling while I build my body up for more beach or fitness modeling.

My first official feature as a model was in the first issue of World Class Asia Models Magazine. I was published as a guest USA model. Second feature is for the World Class USA Models Magazine.
World Class Models Magazine: What are your modeling plans for 2022?
I'm getting my body ready for my first modeling magazine cover. I've been working out for 2 years and I finally feel that I'm ready. I have a list of magazine covers I'm ready for. World Class Models Magazine, World Class USA Models Magazine and then World Class Euro Models Magazine.
World Class Models Magazine: What is your personal fashion style?
I love Dandy mens fashion style. But I need some time to fully embrace it. If the weather in Chicago is cool enough I love to wear suits as my everyday fashion style. I gravitate to simple, elegant and sophisticated but fun fashion looks. Recently I embraced wide brim fedora hats as my fashion piece and I'm having fun exploring that style. My favorite color is blue so I love blue suits. Red also looks great on me so I have few red looks in the closet as well. I'm still learning and experimenting with different patterns and styles but that's the fun of this adventure.
