World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Can you share a bit about who you are? Like, what are your passions outside of the pageant world?

Outside the pageant world, I am a daughter, a big sister, a friend, and a committed member of my community. I take pride in embracing my authentic self and encouraging others to do the same. I love laughing and making those around me laugh and smile. Teaching and being in places where I can plant seeds is something I truly enjoy. I believe that making the world a better place starts with working on myself, as my well-being directly impacts my loved ones and those I encounter. Additionally, my faith is a central part of my life, driving me to walk in purpose every day. World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: I’m curious about your education journey. What's it been like for you, any particular highlights or challenges?

My education journey has been an ongoing battle, but I do not regret it. I faced many obstacles, including doubts from myself and discouragement from teachers and counselors who believed I wouldn't graduate high school. Despite these challenges, I persevered and completed two years' worth of coursework in a single year to graduate. My college journey began with my grandmother, who decided to return to school, and I was incredibly proud of her. I was ready to conquer college and did well in my classes until my cousin's murder forced me to drop some courses. However, I managed to graduate from community college and transfer to a university.

Just as I felt I had finally made it, COVID-19 hit, and my grandmother was diagnosed with cancer. Balancing her doctor's appointments, full-time work, and school became overwhelming, leading me to drop out. I accepted this decision, knowing it was what I needed at the time. Eventually, I returned to school, determined to fight for my degree after losing my grandmother, which was incredibly tough, but I pushed through the grief and the challenges. After two years of hard work and dedication, I graduated with my degree. I beat the odds and statistics against me, and I want to encourage those who feel inadequate to believe in their potential and never give up.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Women's empowerment is such a key topic. What does it mean to you personally?

Women empowerment, to me, means celebrating one another and rejecting the stigma that women must compete to feel validated. It's about uplifting and supporting each other, regardless of our backgrounds or appearances. Empowerment is fostering a sense of community and encouragement, where every woman's success is a victory for all.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: How did you get into pageants? What sparked your interest initially?

What sparked my interest in pageants was the desire to avoid feeling stuck in life, especially after my grandmother's passing, which deeply affected me. I needed to step out of my comfort zone, and participating in a pageant was a perfect opportunity. Additionally, I love standing up for others, so becoming a voice for the voiceless was another motivating factor. The beauty of this journey is that it made me feel closer to my nana, who was a debutante with a love for fashion and class. By taking this risk, I discovered that I love it too.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What motivated you to participate in your first pageant? Was there a defining moment?

What motivated me to go into pageantry was the need to step out of my comfort zone and feel secure in who I am. I didn't look like your typical pageant girl—I have tattoos, and I'm a thick and curvy woman—but I didn't let that stop me. I wanted to see if there was a place for Arbria in this industry and discover who I could become. Through pageantry, I learned it's all about personality and embracing who I am. I found that I am a creative, vibrant, and elegant queen ready to serve and make change with my title.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Why did you choose to compete for your current title? What made it stand out for you?

I chose to compete for my current title because I believe there is more I can do for my community, my state, and my country. Recognizing the needs around me, I want to provide and create new avenues to meet these needs. For example, our youth are struggling with education and mental health. While it's easy to blame social media and other influences, we need to ask ourselves, as active participants in their lives, what are we doing? Are we listening and trying to understand? I believe that with this title, I can bring awareness to these issues and implement active solutions. Additionally, my mentor and family believe in me and encouraged me to pursue this path.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: I'd love to know more about your pageant system. Could you explain what it’s all about?

My pageant system perfectly defines beauty, intelligence, and activism by empowering through multiculturalism. We encourage embracing our heritage and celebrating other cultures, believing this approach reduces bullying and racism while building community. This vision aligns with my values because America is multicultural, and we should be proud of that. Our pageant system builds, supports, and activates kings and queens to be hands-on, serve, and make a significant impact, While feeling and looking incredible.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What do you think sets your pageant director apart from others?

What sets my pageant director, Dr. Krystal, apart from others is her ability to lead and build fierce, incredible leaders. When she sees something in you, she makes sure you know it and pushes you to be your best. The mentorship and resources she provides are amazing. She genuinely wants you to succeed and become more than just a queen, which is truly honorable. Dr. Krystal is a remarkable woman, and I am blessed to have her as my director.

During the competition, the key factors include our ability to speak with purpose, demonstrate our commitment to community service, walk confidently while showcasing our personalities, and importantly, showcase our influence and impact. Ultimately, displaying good character is fundamental in demonstrating our readiness to fulfill the responsibilities of the title.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What’s your competition experience been like? Any memorable moments or learnings?

My competition experience was Okay, with its fair share of stress, but I view it as part of any performance or competition. For me, mindset is crucial—I pray beforehand and tune out distractions to stay focused on my goals. Importantly, I don't let negative energy affect me, and I'm always ready to help anyone in need during the process. I believe because of this mindset, I am able to be present and enjoy the experience.

I would highly recommend my pageant system because it truly embodies a sense of community and family. When I joined this organization, I was immediately embraced by a supportive network of individuals who share similar values and aspirations. This pageant system is not just about competition; it's about personal growth, empowerment, and building lifelong friendships. Our mentors are exceptional, providing us with the guidance, tools, and resources necessary to achieve our goals and dreams. One of the standout features of this pageant system is the unwavering support we receive from one another. In many competitive environments, it's easy to feel isolated or pressured to outperform others. However, here, we uplift and encourage each other, celebrating every success as a collective victory. This camaraderie creates a positive and nurturing atmosphere where everyone feels valued and motivated to be their best selves. Another aspect that makes this pageant system remarkable is its focus on personal growth and empowerment. Being a part of this pageant system has been a life-changing experience, and I am grateful for the incredible opportunities it has provided. If you're looking for a place where you can shine, grow, and be part of a wonderful family, this pageant system is the perfect choice.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Tell me about your advocacy or volunteer work. What causes are you passionate about?

I am very passionate about education, mental health, and working with youth and young adults. To me, education is more than just an institution; it's a vital resource and tool that opens doors to countless opportunities. It's about being in a position to provide these resources and support to those who need them. One critical need among our youth and young adults is education and awareness on how to find solutions for mental health issues. It's essential to show them that they are worthy and that their gifts and passions can serve as valuable outlets. I have volunteered at two conferences aimed at helping women aged 6-18+ incorporate these concepts into their lives. One of these conferences took place at a juvenile detention center, and the experience was profoundly moving. These girls just needed someone to hear them and see them. I cried with some of the girls, helping them feel confident and encouraging them to understand that they are worth fighting for, and so is their future. Seeing the impact of providing education, support, and a listening ear has reinforced my belief in the power of these initiatives. It’s about giving young people the tools to navigate their mental health challenges and showing them that they have a bright future ahead. Through my work, I aim to continue empowering youth and young adults, helping them realize their potential and the importance of their well-being.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: With your title, what kinds of appearances or activities have you been involved in?

With my title, I have had the privilege of being involved in a variety of activities that allow me to give back to my community and support others. I've participated in casting calls as a guest judge, offering my perspective and encouragement to aspiring talents. Additionally, I had the honor of hosting the Las Vegas Kids Multicultural event, which was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate diversity and bring people together. Mentorship and coaching are also close to my heart, particularly in the realm of creative writing. I’ve led creative writing activations, helping individuals tap into their creativity and express themselves. These mentorship experiences are incredibly rewarding, as they allow me to guide and inspire others in their creative journeys. Serving my community is a fundamental aspect of my role. I actively support local creatives by providing them with opportunities to showcase their work and talents. Whether it’s organizing events, creating platforms, or simply offering encouragement, I am committed to fostering a supportive environment for creative expression. These experiences have not only allowed me to grow personally but have also reinforced the importance of community, mentorship, and creativity. By being involved in these activities, I aim to make a positive impact, helping others realize their potential and achieve their dreams. My title is not just an honor; it’s a responsibility to uplift, support, and inspire those around me.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Can you share some of your achievements, both in and outside of pageantry?

I've been blessed to accomplish so much by the age of 30. Some of my achievements include performing in several productions within the CSN Dance Program, directed by Kelly Roth, and dancing in two productions at the Baobab Stage Theater in Las Vegas with the dance company led by Shelby Brown. These experiences have enriched my passion for dance and performance. In addition to my dance achievements, I have received multiple writing certificates and am a published author. I’ve also had the privilege of helping others publish their books, which has been incredibly fulfilling. As a licensed aesthetician, I’ve been able to combine my passion for beauty and wellness with my creative pursuits. My journey in pageantry has been equally rewarding. In my first pageant, I won Best Talent and was 1st runner-up, which was an encouraging start. I then went on to win the title of Miss Nevada America Nation. Most recently, I achieved a significant milestone by becoming the first in my family to graduate from college, and I proudly hold the title of Miss USA America Nation 2024. Each of these accomplishments has shaped who I am today, and I am grateful for the opportunities I've had to grow and excel in various fields. They reflect my dedication, hard work, and passion for continuous improvement, and they motivate me to keep striving for excellence in all my endeavors.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: In such a competitive field, what do you think makes you stand out?

What makes me stand out is my personality. I embrace being my authentic self, and when you are true to yourself, you don't have to prove anything. This authenticity helps me navigate different environments with confidence and ease. I believe that being genuine allows others to connect with you on a deeper level and creates a positive and welcoming atmosphere wherever you go. Another aspect that sets me apart is my stage presence. Having been part of numerous productions, I have developed a strong sense of confidence and poise when performing. There is something magical about the moment when it’s time to step on stage—it’s a time to let go, own the moment, and fully immerse myself in the performance. My experience in various productions has taught me how to engage my audience effectively, making them feel like an integral part of the performance. I believe that an engaged audience enhances the overall experience and creates a memorable connection. My personality and stage presence are powerful tools that I bring to every endeavor, whether it’s a performance, a pageant, or any other challenge. These qualities not only help me stand out but also enable me to inspire and connect with others. Embracing my authentic self and engaging with my audience are key elements of my success, and they drive me to continue striving for excellence in everything I do.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: I can only imagine how it feels to win. What was going through your mind when your name was announced as the winner?

It's always surreal when you hear your name called as a winner. It's a mix of emotions—part of me is saying, "OMG, you did it!" while another part is affirming, "I knew you had it in you." Afterward, it's just a wave of gratitude. I really can't take all the credit. I have to give all the glory and honor to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. It is because of my faith and the favor of God that I've been able to achieve this.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What does being a Beauty Queen mean to you?

To me, being a beauty queen means more than just wearing a crown and sash; it signifies standing firmly on my business and being a true queen for the people. A beauty queen should inspire others through her actions and words, embodying qualities of leadership, compassion, and dedication. It’s about using the platform to effect real change and make a positive impact in the community. A beauty queen is someone who not only inspires but is also actively involved in making change. This means being hands-on in various initiatives, whether it's volunteering, mentoring, or advocating for important causes. It's about being a role model who others can look up to, showing that true beauty lies in one's actions and character. Being a queen for the people involves understanding their needs, listening to their stories, and using my influence to bring about positive transformations. It's about uplifting others and providing opportunities for growth and development. In essence, a beauty queen stands as a beacon of hope, strength, and resilience. She takes her role seriously, understanding the responsibility that comes with it, and strives to leave a lasting legacy of kindness, empowerment, and change. This is what being a beauty queen means to me.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: How have pageants impacted your life?

Pageantry has profoundly impacted my life by revealing and nurturing parts of me that were once hidden or dimmed. Through this journey, I have grown significantly in confidence and have learned to walk in my purpose. It wasn’t always easy. There was a time when I felt the pressure to look a certain way or maintain a particular image. However, once I shattered that paradigm and reminded myself that I won because of who I am, I began to embrace the true essence of being a queen. This realization was transformative. It helped me understand that pageantry is not just about outward appearances but about the qualities and strengths within. Pageantry can birth leaders, entrepreneurs, creatives, and most importantly, incredible human beings who carry themselves with grace and authenticity. By focusing on my unique qualities and the true meaning of being a queen, I discovered the deeper truth about pageantry. It’s a platform that empowers individuals to become the best versions of themselves, to inspire others, and to make meaningful contributions to the world. This journey has been invaluable in helping me step into my power and live with purpose, and I am grateful for the growth and opportunities it has provided.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: How have pageants influenced your self-esteem and body image?

As I mentioned earlier, I struggled with the pressure to uphold a certain beauty standard in pageantry. There was a time when I believed my body and hair had to look a specific way to be valid and to survive in the industry. However, I eventually realized that this mindset was a complete lie. Pageantry is not about superficial standards but about who you are at your core. Once I embraced this truth, I blossomed. I began to own my curves, celebrate my natural hair, and look stunning while doing it. This shift in perspective made me feel more confident about my body and significantly boosted my self-esteem. Pageantry played a crucial role in this transformation, encouraging me to embrace my true self. I now encourage others to adopt this mindset as well. When you fully own who you are and understand that being a beauty queen is about more than just appearances, you can reign with your title with confidence and authenticity. Knowing you are more than enough is empowering, and it allows you to shine brightly and inspire others to do the same. This inner confidence is the true essence of what it means to be a beauty queen.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: You’re an inspiration to many. How does that feel, and what message do you want to share with others?

The message I want to share is that your authentic self is more than enough. Take the time to discover who you truly are and understand that it’s an ongoing journey of self-discovery. Finding purpose in life is crucial; it guides you through the ups and downs, shaping a fulfilling journey despite challenges. Follow your dreams passionately. It's easy to settle into comfort, but true growth comes from stepping out of your comfort zone, taking risks, and staying consistent. Show kindness and patience to others; these qualities can make a significant difference in someone’s life. Lastly, if you aspire to create change and make the world a better place, start with yourself. Focus on self-improvement and self-awareness. By being the best version of yourself, you can positively impact those around you and contribute to a more compassionate and understanding world. These principles have guided me in my journey, and I hope they inspire others to pursue their aspirations with courage and determination.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What’s your strategy for captivating the judges on stage?

One of my strategies for captivating judges is to treat them as invited, active participants in my performance rather than mere evaluators. By placing the judges in the position of audience members, I aim to establish a connection and engage with them authentically. This approach shifts my focus from simply impressing them or seeking their approval to creating a memorable and inclusive experience. I believe that when judges feel involved and connected to my performance, they are more likely to remember me not just as a contestant but as someone who made them part of a meaningful experience. This strategy allows me to showcase my skills and personality in a way that resonates beyond the competition criteria, leaving a lasting impression that goes beyond scoring sheets and evaluations. It’s about creating a genuine connection and leaving a positive impact that extends beyond the stage.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: How do you prepare for competitions? Any specific routines or practices?

When preparing for competitions, I prioritize refining my walk and speaking skills as crucial aspects of my performance. Having a mentor and seeking wise counsel are essential strategies that provide valuable guidance and perspective. Affirmations play a significant role in my preparation, reminding me of my purpose and keeping me motivated. A strong sense of why I compete serves as fuel, driving my passion and determination. Above all, prayer and staying grounded in the Word of God are my secret weapons. This spiritual foundation keeps me centered, focused, and equipped to navigate various challenges. It helps me maintain a level-headed approach, enhances my ability to read the room and adapt to different atmospheres, and ensures that I uphold integrity and good character throughout the competition process. This holistic preparation not only enhances my performance but also enriches my overall experience, allowing me to compete with confidence and authenticity.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Got any tips for nailing the perfect pageant walk?

As cliché as it may sound, my top tip for mastering the perfect pageant walk is to truly own it. Confidence is key—you need to believe in yourself and your ability to command the stage. Alongside confidence, practice is crucial. Repetition helps refine your walk until it feels natural and effortless. One technique I swear by is crossing your feet while walking. This small adjustment can make a big difference in your posture and stride, enhancing your overall grace and elegance. It’s about paying attention to every detail, from the angle of your shoulders to the movement of your arms, to ensure a polished presentation.

Ultimately, the perfect pageant walk is a blend of confidence, practice, and attention to detail. When you walk with authenticity and purpose, you not only showcase your physical presence but also your inner strength and charisma. These elements combined create a memorable and impactful performance that leaves a lasting impression on the judges and audience alike.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Choosing the right pageant dress can be crucial. What are your tips for making the best choice?

Choosing the right gown is crucial for making a statement on stage. I recommend selecting colors that are bold and eye-catching, avoiding black which can blend in. Opt for shades that complement your skin tone to enhance your natural radiance. Additionally, pick a dress that fits well and accentuates your body shape beautifully. When you have these elements in place, you'll look stunning and become a showstopper. Take your time on stage to confidently showcase your gown, allowing it to shine and ensuring you leave a lasting impression.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Interview rounds can be tricky. What are your strategies for a winning interview?

Navigating interview rounds can indeed be challenging, but I've found a method that works well for me. Instead of focusing solely on memorizing answers, I believe in embodying them. It all starts with understanding your why—knowing who you are, your purpose, and what you stand for. One effective strategy is to practice with a list of common interview questions. Write them down and integrate them into everyday conversations with friends, at work, or whenever you have the opportunity to discuss your pageant experience. By naturally incorporating these talking points into discussions, you reinforce your responses and build confidence in delivering them authentically. This approach ensures that during the actual pageant interview, you can fluidly express yourself with control and clarity. Even if faced with unexpected questions, you'll be prepared to adapt and respond with substance. This method not only enhances your interview performance but also allows you to showcase your genuine passion and knowledge, leaving a positive and memorable impression on the judges.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Looking back, is there a moment in a competition you wish you could redo?

In hindsight, if I could redo anything, it would be to focus more on taking my time while walking on stage. There are moments when nerves and adrenaline take over, causing me to rush through my walk. I realize now the importance of pacing myself, allowing each step to exude confidence and grace. Walking on stage is not just about reaching the end; it's about making a lasting impression with every stride. By slowing down and being mindful of my pace, I can better showcase my presence and poise. It's a lesson in mindfulness and control, ensuring that I maintain composure and deliver a memorable performance. Moving forward, I aim to apply this reflection to my future appearances, emphasizing the significance of pacing and presence on stage. It's about harnessing nervous energy into focused determination, ultimately enhancing my overall stage presence and leaving a stronger impact on judges and audience alike.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What common mistakes do you see others making in contests?

One common mistake I've observed during competitions is the tendency to compare oneself to others. This can lead to self-doubt or the pressure to outshine someone else, often at the expense of authenticity. It's crucial to embrace your unique qualities and let your organic personality shine through, rather than trying to conform to someone else's standards. Another frequent error I've noticed is lacking stage presence. While contestants may have flawless walks and appearances, failing to engage with the audience can diminish their overall impact. Working the crowd involves connecting emotionally and energetically, ensuring that every moment on stage captivates and resonates with the judges and spectators. These observations have taught me the importance of staying true to oneself and mastering the art of stage presence. By focusing on authenticity and audience interaction, contestants can elevate their performance and leave a lasting impression that goes beyond mere technical perfection. It's about balancing skill with charisma, creating a memorable experience that truly embodies the essence of a successful competition.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Do you have any experience in modeling or acting?

I have gained valuable experience in both modeling and acting throughout my journey. I've had the opportunity to dip into the world of modeling, participating in five fashion shows where I showcased various styles and brands. Additionally, I've had the privilege of modeling for Sunny Chic Sunglasses, contributing to their vibrant and stylish collections. In the realm of acting, I recently lent my talents to the UNLV film remake of Shrek, providing background vocals that added depth and atmosphere to the production. This experience allowed me to explore the creative aspects of film and performance, further expanding my skill set and versatility. Furthermore, my involvement as a hair model for L'Oreal resulted in a mini publication, highlighting my collaboration with a prestigious brand in the beauty industry. These diverse experiences have not only enriched my portfolio but also deepened my passion for both modeling and acting, motivating me to pursue further opportunities to grow and showcase my talents in these fields

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What are your plans or goals for the upcoming year as a Queen?

My plans and goals for my reign as queen this upcoming year are multifaceted and focused on making a meaningful impact. I intend to incorporate creative writing workshops and ELA program showcases to inspire students and enrich our community's literary landscape. Additionally, I aim to host speaking engagements and workshops centered around community building and effective communication skills, fostering a stronger sense of unity and empowerment. Collaborating with local businesses and venues will be a priority, providing platforms for showcasing local talent and creativity while also supporting community-driven initiatives. Fundraising and advocacy for non-profits dedicated to youth, mental health, and education are essential aspects of my agenda, aiming to make a tangible difference in these critical areas. Furthermore, I am determined to achieve a personal milestone by getting my first fiction novel published, sharing stories that resonate with readers and inspire imagination. Lastly, I aspire to influence the political sphere, advocating for policies that positively impact our communities and enhance quality of life for all. Through these endeavors, I hope to leave a lasting legacy of positive change and empowerment during my reign as queen.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Finally, what kind of legacy do you hope to leave behind?

As queen, the legacy I aspire to leave behind is one of breaking glass ceilings and empowering others to do the same. It's about embracing the power of saying no and not compromising on one's values and aspirations. I believe in never giving up and forging your own path, even if it's challenging or takes longer—it's always worth it. Being a trailblazer means paving the way for others, showing them that they too can create their own destinies.

In conclusion, each of us has a unique story and a singular life to live. I want to demonstrate the importance of authenticity, taking risks, pursuing dreams with purpose, and maintaining integrity throughout. By being an example of these principles, I hope to inspire and cultivate innovative minds, encouraging others to believe in themselves and reach for their highest aspirations. My legacy aims to build a community where everyone feels empowered to make a difference and live life to the fullest.
