World Class Beauty Queens: Please tell us about yourself.
I am 10 Years old, live in Perth WA Australia. I am a dancer and have travelled all over the world performing and competing. I am currently Australia’s Showcase Dancer of the Year and will be representing Australia at the Dance World Cup in Italy in 2022. I train 6 days a week before and after school. My mum owns a dance school so I was born into the industry. I am also a model and have been featured in magazines and in 2 music videos.
World Class Beauty Queens: Please tell us about your education.
I go to school full time and I am in Year 5
World Class Beauty Queens: What does women empowerment mean to you?
Being only 10 I am still learning more about this but I do know that women can do anything and that if you put your mind to it with passion and hard work you can reach any dream.
World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your pageant history.
I have only competed in a pageant twice and both times I won the title. It is something I would like to do more of, unfortunately in WA we don’t have a lot of opportunities as the pageant community is still quite small.
World Class Beauty Queens: What inspired you to do your first pageant?
I love being able to raise awareness of my chosen charity and it was a great opportunity to do so, I also wanted to be apart of a sisterhood that encouraged and pushed each other.
World Class Beauty Queens: Why did you choose to compete for your current title?
To do something different outside of dancing, I love being on stage and this was an opportunity to raise awareness, meet new people and do something that is so fun! (a who doesn’t like to get dressed up!)
World Class Beauty Queens: To those unfamiliar with your pageant system please tell us what is it about?
Premier Elite Pageants is about encouraging a sisterhood and using your title to raise awareness for your platform.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are you being judged on during the competition?
We are judged on our inner beauty, our choice of outfit, our walk and our encouragement of others.
World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your experience during the competition.
It was so much fun, our pageant does so many extra things outside of the actual pageant in the lead-up that makes it extra special and not just about the one day, we even had a pizza pajama party the night before. I did have lots of nerves but we had a huge big supportive crowd that made us feel so special.
World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your platform or what cause do you volunteer for.
My platform is the Department of Child Protection and Fostering Hope. I like to raise awareness for children in foster care. My family are foster carers so this is very close to my heart. These children are taken from sometimes horrible situations and leave with nothing. We put together care bags so that when they arrive in their new home they have some beautiful items that are just theirs. I am very lucky to live in a happy safe home so I can't imagine how scary it can be for these kids.
World Class Beauty Queens: What appearances have you done with your title?
I have made many appearances but some are: Wanneroo Show, Dream Dance, Wildcats performances, over 20 different dance competitions, Telethon Kids Carnival,
World Class Beauty Queens: What are some of your achievements?
Too many to list but some of my favourite are:
Miss Premier Elite (obviously)
Dancer of the Year for Australia
Runner-up Miss Petite America (yes in America!)
Asian World Title Winner (2 times!)
And so many more!
World Class Beauty Queens: What makes you stand out from all those other beautiful girls?
Just being natural. I have a very bubbly personality and just being natural in my smile and movement makes it stand out, nothing is faked or forced!
World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about the moment your name was called out as the winner.
My goodness, that was so exciting, I had butterflies while waiting for the announcement as I really wanted to be called I was just so happy to hear my name. My first reaction was to hug the 1st runner up as she also worked just as hard and she deserved to be acknowledged first.
World Class Beauty Queens: What does it mean to you to be a Beauty Queen?
It isn’t just about the outer beauty it is more than 50% about the inner beauty. So it's nice to know that I have proven both sides to be crowned.
World Class Beauty Queens: How did competing in pageants helped your life?
It has opened different doors to different opportunities which I enjoy being able to represent and be apart of.
World Class Beauty Queens: How did pageants helped your selfesteem and body image?
Our system doesn't focus on outer beauty so we were made to feel included regardless of your look, shape, size and colour. It made us all aware that everyone is beautiful and I now look at beauty very differently.
World Class Beauty Queens: You are an inspiration to all the girls out there. How does it feel?
It feels very very special, something I am very thankful for, I hope to represent with class and to ensure I encourage others to do something different in the world.
World Class Beauty Queens: What is your on stage strategy to win the judges over?
Capture their attention and don’t allow them to take your eyes off you!
World Class Beauty Queens: How did you prepare for your competition?
Lots of planning of the outfits, making sure my hair was freshly cut and treated, mum, let me get my nails done and I watched some famous pageants and learned how to walk better, plus I attended a workshop with our system so I could make sure I knew what I was doing.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for learning better pageant walk?
Listen to the music played and walk how it feels natural, don’t overthink it.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for choosing right pageant dress?
Make sure you love it! It doesn’t matter if it is the most fashionable it is what makes you feel special, If you feel great that confidence will show!
World Class Beauty Queens: What is one mistake that you've done during competing you wish you could redo and fix it?
I’m actually proud of what I have done and felt like I just did my best, I wouldn’t change anything.
World Class Beauty Queens: What other mistakes are made by girls during the contest?
Make sure you read your handbook and follow the tips and guidelines, I've seen girls not follow the advice of outfit choices and then they felt out of place for having something that wasn’t quite right. If it doubt ask your pageant organiser, they know best!
World Class Beauty Queens: Any modeling or acting experience?
I have been featured in magazines and 2 music videos!
World Class Beauty Queens: What are your plans for 2021/22 as a Queen?
Unfortunately, I end my reign as a queen soon and I can't compete in 2022 (as I have already won twice) but I look forward to being back in 2023!
World Class Beauty Queens: What kind of legacy do you want to leave behind?
Just to encourage confidence, beauty comes in so many shapes, sizes and colours. Everyone is beautiful, but always make sure you are just as beautiful on the inside.
